Advisory Group
The Focal Point works under the direction of the GRI Secretariat; and is advised by a multi-stakeholder Advisory Group of key representatives from different constituencies and regions in Australia.
The role of the Advisory Group is to discuss the strategic objectives for the region, avenues for financial support in Australia and the preferred role and activities for the Focal Point. Members of the Advisory Group sit for a two year term; current members include:

There she was responsible for implementation of their CSR strategy, which led to Corporate Express Australia being named Sustainable Company of the Year at the 8th Australian Sustainability Awards 2008.Network Manager, Focal Point Australia – Victoria Whitaker
Victoria is one of two Network Managers for the Global Reporting Initiative’s Focal Point in Australia.
Victoria holds a Degree in Arts, and a Master of Education for Sustainability. She draws on 10 years of local and international experience in sustainability, which has focused largely on developing policy, strategies and frameworks around a strategic approach to sustainability. Victoria’s qualifications and experience have provided her with an excellent understanding of contemporary challenges in integrating sustainability into organisational policy and strategies and in facilitating organisational and community behaviour change.
Prior to working at GRI, Victoria most recently worked in sustainability policy at CHOICE, and at the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, where she managed the Prince of Wales’s Business and the Environment Program and Al Gore’s Climate Project amongst other programs.
